On Thursday, April 11 at 6:35 p.m. EDT, Falcon Heavy launched the Arabsat-6A satellite from historic Launch Complex 39A which supported many Apollo missions including Apollo 11 in July 1969-first manned mission to land on the Moon- at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Two side boosters and central core stage were expected to return to Earth for the triple landing.
Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters landed at SpaceX’s Landing Zones 1 and 2 (LZ-1 and LZ-2) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Falcon Heavy’s center core landed on the ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ droneship, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
